THE FILM

A famous line.
The story behind it.

Built around Samuel Johnson’s famous words, “When a man is tired of London…”, this short film traces the quotation back to Johnson, Boswell and 17 Gough Square.

Archival material, location footage and sound are woven into a compact, social-first story — making the history feel immediate without losing its depth.

A photographic study of Dr Johnson’s House, moving between rooms, objects, books and architectural details. The images look beyond simple documentation to capture the atmosphere of the place — creating a visual language that can live across editorial, social and campaign content.

Place, detail and traces of a life.
